The Andaman Sea is home to some of the best dive sites in the world. In the north, within Thai waters, you will find The Similan Islands and the famous Richelieu Rock, and in Burmese waters the remote and mostly unexplored Mergui Archipelago. Further south, the Phi Phi Islands offer a few great dive spots, but the best sites are even further south at Hin Daeng and Hin Muang which are renowned for the presence of manta rays and whale sharks.
