Phuket Diving Daytrips

Phuket is surrounded by a lot of excellent diving spots, most of them reachable by boat in under an hour.

Amazing underwater vistas await you off Phuket’s West Coast, Racha Yai and Racha Noi Islands just to the south of Phuket as well as Koh Dok Mai, and further away still, Shark Point, Anemone Reef and the King Cruiser Wreck all of which are located in the vicinity of the Phi Phi Islands.

You will find below a wide range of diving daytrips, organized by each dive site and by boat.

Please Note:

These trips require guests to already hold Open Water Diver certification. Customers who aren’t certified can try diving with our Discover Scuba Diving course at Racha Yai or Phi Phi.

All Day trips include transfers to and from your hotel, light breakfast snack, lunch, unlimited amounts of drinking water, soft drinks, coffee, and tea all free of charge. Tanks and weight belts and Dive Master service.

Diving Daytrips by Dive Site

Anemone Reef

This submerged reef located close to Shark Point has extensive fields of beautiful sea anemones. Harmless Leopard Sharks are also to be found together with some massive schools of smaller fish and some larger pelagics such as Tuna and Barracuda. (Read more...)

King Cruiser Wreck

The ship sank in May 1997 with no loss of life and the subsequent wreck is providing a new home for a variety of marine creatures. Conveniently resting in an upright position with the steering house just 10 metres from the surface and the propellers (deepest point) 30 metres, divers who have never dived in a wreck before can enjoy the fascination of exploring this site. Koh Dok Mai

An island located one hour east of Phuket. A walldive where you can spot everything, however look especially for the sea horse hanging on to the gorgonias and the many species of moray eels peeking out from their cavities. Here you also have the option of cave exploration.

Phi Phi Islands

The Phi Phi Islands are famous for their beauty above the water, but underwater, the landscape is also just as stunning. As a diver, you'll find that the spectacular limestone cliffs above the water become sheer drop-offs below the water line. The craggy coral encrusted landscape attracts a huge variety of colourful and diverse marine creatures. Even Whale Sharks have been known to visit! (Read more...)

Phuket West Coast

An inexpensive way to get your feet (and everything else) wet, Phuket's west coast offers some surprisingly interesting dives. Although nowhere on the scale of he offshore islands, there are some nice reefs located just off the tourist beaches, particularly Kata. Koh Racha Noi

Racha Noi offers some truly spectacular sites with giant underwater boulders and scenery almost like the Similan Islands further north, plus a great chance to see some of the bigger fish like Manta Rays and Whale Sharks.

Koh Racha Yai

Located about 1 ½ hours south of Phuket, Rachaa Yai's hard coral reefs, shallow water coral gardens and sloping rocks provide enjoyable drift diving. There are several excellent dive sites which are particularly suitable for beginners and snorkellers. (Read more...)

Shark Point

Shark Point, a small rock outcropping about 1½ hours east of Phuket, is a marine sanctuary with a great variety of marine life. Particular attractions are the colourful soft corals and sea fans around the limestone pinnacle, tropical fish, and of course, the Leopard Sharks, found on the sandy bottom. (Read more...)
